The Development Engineering Division reviews all private design and construction of public infrastructure for compliance with adopted codes and engineering standards, and compatibility with existing infrastructure. The Division's emphasis is on promoting best practices: good engineering design, low-impact development (LID), environmental sensitivity, and reasonable maintenance and life-cycle costs. Division staff participates in ongoing communication with maintenance operation personnel, planners, and capital project managers to create and maintain a sense of place for many years to come.
